Credit Card Payments

We use our Musac Edge online payment system. This lets you get updates of amounts owing to school as well as make payments of whole or part bills via credit card or debit visa/mastercard. It automatically issues receipts too. Here’s how to get started:

Go the this website: https://parent.musac.school.nz/

Either click on a social media login on the left or enter the email address you gave us (the one your school statements are sent to) on the right.
On your first use, if you entered an email address now click “Forgot password?”. This will ask you to choose and confirm a password. Confirm it then login.

You’re now in the portal page for your children. You’ll see their names along the top like this…

Click on a child then click “School payments”. You’ll see a screen like this

If you wish to pay all outstanding amounts (including optional items), click 'Pay All'. If you wish to pay particular lines, click ‘Pay” for that line. If you wish to make a part payment, type the amount in the box. The total of all items is displayed at the bottom
When you are happy, click “Make Payment” which directs you to the Paystation™ site, where instructions guide you through the payment process.
You’ll also see other information in Edge including your child’s attendance and your contact details and medical notes. You can update these details yourself anytime.
We really hope this makes keeping track of bills and making payments as easy as possible.

Paying to our bank account

For electronic payments our bank details are:
Account Name: Whatawhata School
Account No.:03 1558 0016583 01
Reference: Student's surname and first name and Inv#

Required vs optional payments

Required payments for goods and services:
The following goods, services and activities will be charged for:
  • Top up stationery items requested by your child, e.g a pencil, new book
  • Actual costs for Education Outside the Classroom experiences, e.g. school camp, day trip
  • After school care fees
  • An Annual stationery pack if you request in writing to purchase it from the school
  • Actual costs of sports team fees if your child opts in to a sports team
You may be charged for an activity in advance, e.g. an upcoming school camp. This reflects the fact that payments to providers may be required in advance. If your child is unable to take part in the activity, e..g if they are away on the day of a trip, the full charge will be credited to your account.

Optional payments for goods and services:
Paying for items where there has been a “request for payment” is completely optional. These items are clearly indicated with the word OPTIONAL on your statement.

The following goods and activities are examples where a “request for payment” will be made and where payment is optional:
  • The termly or annual “school donation”. The purpose of this donation is explained in the school newsletter each year
  • Shared contribution to a home and school app, e.g. Mathletics app
The items still appear on your statement but with the word OPTIONAL next to them. At the bottom of the statement it says “Payment is optional for any items with the word optional beside them.  We really hope you are able to pay for these so that we can continue to offer these exciting opportunities.”

As it says above, we really hope you can pay for these kinds of special activities and opportunities so we are able to keep offering them to everyone. We will never request payment for run of the mill, everyday items that we use in school, just the special “extra” stuff! Many thanks in advance.

Our terms for payment

Our payment terms are payment in full within 15 days of statement receipt.
If you are unable to pay in full by this date, you must contact the school.
No interest is charged in the event of non-payment. However, continual non-payment may mean that further goods, services or activities will not be provided
